Traditionally, Spring is an important time to cleanse. Whether you do an Ayurvedic Kitchari cleanse, a juice fast, or just add lemon water to your morning routine, spring is signaling your body to detox. And as we grow more mindful, we realize it can be amazingly helpful to detox other parts of our lives as well. These can include anything from spring cleaning in our homes, to clearing toxic patterns in relationships, bringing awareness to negative thoughts that are
keeping us stuck, or anything holding us back from showing up as the fully embodied, most authentic version of ourselves.
Blooming from the Space of Clarity
Spring is here in full bloom. We have passed the equinox and all planets are direct, so the questions this moment is begging are: what am I consciously creating in my life? How am I directing my energy? What do I want to experience? Is there anything that needs to change so I can move forward?
If we follow this line of thinking, we will arrive at clarity. Clarity gives us confidence. It is the seat of our power. Clarity allows us to stay focused on our goals and desires, and take aligned action towards our highest destiny.
Your Invitation
So, here is your invitation. Set aside some time to contemplate and journal these questions. If you are having emotions or relationship dynamics that are not aligned with what you would like to experience, what can you change about how you are approaching, viewing, or handling the situation? Pro tip: we can’t control or change others, so this is about you. Ultimately, self responsibility leads to empowerment.
The Barriers to Love
As Rumi says, "Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.”
Do you need to be kinder to yourself? Do you need to release judgment towards others? Chances are, you need to release judgement towards yourself. Can you begin to choose patience over anger? Can you choose acceptance over crashing out? I guarantee that when you start to get right with yourself, your everyday experience will move in a positive direction.
